Qualification Requirements
Option 1: Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management from recognized university.
Option 2: Bachelor's degree in above-mentioned disciplines with minimum 2 years relevant work experience in child protection, social work, or NGO sector.
Desirable: Experience in child protection programs, government schemes, knowledge of child rights laws (JJ Act, POCSO Act), and computer proficiency.
District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Perambalur has announced recruitment for 1 Coordinator position under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS). DCPU implements child protection services at the district level, coordinating rescue and rehabilitation of children in need, institutional care, adoption processes, and awareness programs. The Coordinator leads all DCPU activities including strategic planning, multi-departmental coordination, staff supervision, case management, liaison with Child Welfare Committees and Juvenile Justice Boards, and program monitoring. The monthly salary is Rs. 28,000 consolidated. Eligibility requires Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Law, or related fields; OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years relevant experience. Maximum age is 42 years.
