This walk-in recruitment drive, announced on 23rd January 2026, aims to strengthen the corporation's workforce to meet the increasing demand for public transport services and to ensure smooth and efficient operations across various routes and depots in the region. The positions being offered are for the Driver category, which is one of the most crucial roles in any transport corporation as these professionals are directly responsible for passenger safety, comfort, and timely service delivery. KKRTC Bidar Division operates across multiple depots including Bidar-1, Bidar-2, Bhalki, Aurad, Basavakalyan, and Humnabad, and the selected candidates will be deployed at any of these locations based on organizational requirements. This recruitment presents an excellent career opportunity for individuals who possess a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) driving license, have completed their SSLC (10th standard) education, and have prior experience in driving heavy passenger or goods vehicles. The corporation is specifically looking for candidates who have cleared the Computerized Driving Track Test conducted by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) or its sister corporations such as BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation), NWKRTC (North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation), or other state transport undertakings. This requirement ensures that only skilled drivers who are familiar with the driving standards and safety protocols of government transport corporations are selected. The walk-in interview is scheduled for 3rd and 4th February 2026, during which eligible candidates need to appear in person with all original documents and certificates for verification. The age limit for this recruitment is set between 24 to 40 years, providing opportunity to both experienced drivers in their prime working years as well as relatively younger candidates who have completed the mandatory training and licensing requirements. Selected candidates will be offered salary as per the minimum wage applicable in Karnataka for drivers in government transport corporations, along with other benefits such as Provident Fund, ESI, leave entitlements, and other statutory benefits. The work involves operating buses on assigned routes, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining punctuality, conducting daily vehicle inspections, maintaining driving logs, and adhering to traffic rules and corporation guidelines. This is a regular/permanent position with job security and career growth prospects within the corporation. KKRTC, being a government organization, provides a stable working environment, defined working hours, and employee welfare schemes. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and are confident about their driving skills and experience should not miss this opportunity and must appear for the walk-in interview with all required documents within the stipulated dates.
