The 394 apprentice positions are distributed across the following categories: 1. Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): For candidates with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering. These apprentices will work on pipeline maintenance, pumping equipment, compressors, and mechanical systems. 2. Technician Apprentice (Electrical): For candidates with Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Training will cover electrical systems, motor controls, power distribution, and instrumentation. 3. Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation): For candidates with Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, or related disciplines. Focus on SCADA systems, instrumentation, control systems, and communication networks. 4. Trade Apprentice (Assistant-Human Resource): For graduates (any discipline) to work in HR department covering recruitment, training, employee relations, and administrative functions. 5. Trade Apprentice (Accountant): For B.Com graduates to gain experience in accounts, finance, auditing, and financial reporting. 6. Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices): For 12th pass candidates (below graduate) to work on data management, computer operations, and administrative support. 7. Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Telecom & Instrumentation): • Three years full-time Diploma in relevant engineering discipline from a Government recognized institution • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved posts) • Lateral entry candidates admitted in 2nd year after Class XII (Science)/ITI are also eligible • Diploma should be from a recognized institution as a regular full-time course • Part-time/correspondence/distance education qualifications are NOT eligible Trade Apprentice (Assistant-HR): • Full-time Bachelor's degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a Government recognized university • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts) Trade Apprentice (Accountant): • Full-time Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a Government recognized university • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts) Data Entry Operator (Fresher): • Minimum 12th pass (but below Graduate level) • Should not possess higher qualification like graduation or above Domestic Data Entry Operator: • Minimum 12th pass (but below Graduate level) • Must possess Skill Certificate of Domestic Data Entry Operator issued by awarding body under NSQF or recognized authority Important Eligibility Conditions: • Qualification must be completed on or before January 31, 2026 (cut-off date) • Candidates awaiting results are NOT eligible • CGPA/OGPA must be converted to percentage as per university norms • No job experience exceeding one year is allowed • Candidates with higher professional qualifications like B.E./B.Tech., MBA, CA, LLB, MCA are NOT eligible • Maximum five years gap after acquiring qualification (as on cut-off date) • Candidates can undergo maximum two apprenticeship trainings (not in same trade)Age Limit and Relaxation

Selected apprentices will receive monthly stipend as prescribed under: • Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 • Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 • Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2019 & 2025 • IOCL Corporation guidelines The stipend amount varies based on the qualification level and trade: • Technician Apprentices: Generally Rs. 8,000 - Rs. 9,000 per month • Graduate Apprentices: Generally Rs. 9,000 - Rs. 10,000 per month • Trade Apprentices: As per Apprentices Act provisions Important Note: Apart from monthly stipend, NO other monetary or non-monetary benefits like accommodation, HRA, conveyance allowance, medical facilities, or DA will be provided. No Written Test or Personal Interview The selection will be purely based on merit in qualifying examination: Step 1: NAPS/NATS Portal Registration Candidates must first register on National Apprenticeship Portal (NAPS) or National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and apply for IOCL opportunities. Step 2: Merit List Preparation Merit lists will be prepared based on percentage of marks in descending order obtained in the essential qualification: • For Diploma holders: Based on aggregate percentage in Diploma • For Graduates: Based on aggregate percentage in Graduation degree Step 3: Tie-Breaking Criteria In case of same percentage: • Candidate with earlier date of birth (older) will be preferred • If date of birth is also same, higher percentage in Matriculation will be considered Step 4: Document Verification Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents before joining.
