Gurugram District Court Clerk Stenographer Grade-III Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 155 Posts

They should be able to take dictation in English at a speed of 80 words per minute and in Hindi at 60 words per minute. The transcription time allowed is 50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi dictation. These skills are essential as stenographers are required to accurately record court proceedings, judicial orders, and other important matters. The age limit for applicants is between 18 to 42 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Haryana Government rules. SC/ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation, OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation, and other eligible categories receive relaxation as prescribed in government norms. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 25,500/- during the temporary period. The selection process for Clerk positions involves two stages: Written Examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test. The written examination consists of two papers - English Composition carrying 50 marks and General Knowledge carrying 50 marks. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate with at least 33% marks in each subject separately to qualify. Those who qualify the written test will be called for Computer Proficiency Test. The Computer Proficiency Test for Clerk positions is qualifying in nature, meaning marks obtained in this test are not counted in the final merit list. However, clearing this test is mandatory for final selection. Candidates must demonstrate computer typing skills in English at a speed of 30 words per minute. This ensures that selected clerks can handle computerized court documentation systems efficiently. For Stenographer Grade-III positions, the selection process includes a Skill Test followed by Written Test and Computer Proficiency Test. The Skill Test assesses candidates' stenography and typing abilities. Candidates must take dictation in English at 80 words per minute and in Hindi at 60 words per minute, with prescribed transcription times. This is an eliminatory test and only those who qualify proceed to the next stage. After clearing the Skill Test, stenographer candidates must appear for a written examination covering subjects relevant to their role. The written test evaluates candidates' knowledge of English grammar, general knowledge, legal terminology, and other relevant subjects. Qualified candidates then undergo Computer Proficiency Test to assess their computer typing and word processing skills. The vacancy distribution follows the reservation policy of Haryana Government with posts reserved for SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, EWS, and other eligible categories. Additionally, horizontal reservation for PwD candidates and ex-servicemen is applicable as per government norms. Candidates claiming reservation benefits must submit relevant certificates in the prescribed format issued by competent authorities.
