ECHS Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 172 DEO, Clerk and Other Posts

ECHS is a pioneering healthcare scheme that provides comprehensive medical facilities to Ex-Servicemen pensioners and their dependents, ensuring quality healthcare through a network of polyclinics, empanelled hospitals, and diagnostic centers across India. The Thiruvananthapuram region oversees multiple ECHS Polyclinics including Akkulam, Attingal, Chakka, Kazhakootam, Kottayam, Kollam, Kottarakara, Palayam, Parassala, Sainik Colony, Shanghumughom, Thiruvananthapuram, and Varkala, all of which are now looking to strengthen their medical and non-medical staff through this recruitment drive. The 172 vacancies span across a wide spectrum of positions catering to medical specialists, general duty doctors, nursing staff, technical personnel, and administrative support, ensuring comprehensive healthcare delivery to ECHS beneficiaries in the region. The positions available include highly specialized medical posts such as Gynaecologist, Radiologist, Anaesthetist, Pathologist, Orthopaedician, Physician, Paediatrician, ENT Specialist, Ophthalmologist, Dermatologist, Psychiatrist, Dental Surgeon, as well as Medical Officers (MBBS), Dental Officers (BDS), Staff Nurse (GNM/B.Sc Nursing), Lab Technician, Pharmacist, X-Ray Technician, ECG Technician, OT Technician, OT Assistant, Physiotherapist, and various support staff including Data Entry Operator, Clerk, Driver, Safaiwala, Female Attendant, Chowkidar, and Peon. The contractual fees/salary for these positions vary significantly based on the post, qualifications, and responsibilities, ranging from Rs. 21,800 per month for support staff to Rs. 1,30,000 per month for specialist doctors working full-time. Medical Officers (MBBS) are offered Rs. 95,000 per month, while technical staff like Lab Technicians and Pharmacists receive Rs. 36,500 per month, making these positions financially attractive for qualified professionals. The age limit for different positions varies from 53 years for support staff to 68 years for specialist doctors, providing opportunities for professionals at various stages of their careers, including those nearing retirement who wish to continue serving the healthcare needs of ex-servicemen and their families. Preference is given to retired Armed Forces Medical Services personnel, ex-servicemen, and their dependents, in line with ECHS policy of welfare and rehabilitation of defence personnel. However, qualified civilians are also eligible to apply if they meet the prescribed qualifications and experience criteria.
