Detailed Job Description - Wireman

The Wireman position is a skilled industrial grade position in the electrical maintenance cadre of BBMB. The primary responsibilities include:

Installation Work:

• Installation of electrical wiring in buildings, colonies, offices, and industrial areas
• Installing electrical fixtures, switches, sockets, light fittings, and distribution boards
• Laying electrical cables, conduits, and cable trays as per technical specifications
• Installation of motors, starters, control panels, and other electrical equipment
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications

Maintenance and Repair:

• Regular inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical installations
• Troubleshooting electrical faults and breakdowns
• Repair and replacement of defective electrical components, wiring, and equipment
• Testing electrical circuits, continuity, insulation resistance, and earthing
